issue an invitation to all who appreciate fine craftsmanship and the work of talented artist to visit our new Gallery in Mentone. We will be proudly show casing the works of area artist along side Walter's hand forged iron works. For the second time in a year and a half we are growing. We have moved two doors up the street to 21279 Scenic Drive, right next door to the Mentone Springs Hotel. We have a large shaded yard with gardens where artist will be working. Our family of artist also continues to grow and the quality of the work is impressive indeed. We hope that you will come and ask questions and find something that will make you smile. Fall brings some of the areas finest artist to town. Both the accomplished and the up and coming will be represented. We encourage you to support their efforts with your purchases. Mid October the M.A.P.A. Colorfest brings art for our "Leaf Lookers" to enjoy. The first week end in November we are fortunate to have two outstanding shows in the area. The Little River Canyon Fest and Rattling Gourd in Summerville host a line up of first class artist and their handwork. These two shows give an opportunity for people who live in this area to come and see and support the treasures of the region. The short drive between the two venues is beautiful and will be in full fall bloom by then. The second week end in November is the Bluff Show at Mae Gray's. If you haven't ever been to Mae's, you are missing something. We will post more specific details as time gets closer or you can call the gallery for info. We are very proud to be here and encourage all to come and visit. We will aoon be planning our calendar of classes and workshops to enjoy during the winter months and please join us and help us grow the arts in our area. The south has never lacked for artistic talent in many forms. Mentone seems to beckon to those whose artistic gifts thrive in the peace and beauty of the surrounding mountains. I have been amazed by the work I have seen and am very proud to present these works to art lovers for purchase. There is something about handwork that satisfies the soul. Both for the person who creates the handwork and the person who receives enjoyment from it. We hope that you find The Forge Gallery and the amenities we provide are of the same standard and quality as our art. The Gallery offers gift wrapping and gift certificates as well as shipping if you are shopping for others. We have gift baskets containing work from various artist and will post an on line gift registry for brides to be. Many of our artist take custom orders and we will be glad to assist in any way we can. Please take the time to visit our artist on the page entitled "The Hands". You will find current work for sale at the gallery by each artist on their page as well as biography and contact information. Most of our items for purchase are one of a kind so your requests for purchases must be confirmed by e-mail to ensure the desired piece is still available. Requests will be answered promptly and in order received. New work will be added as it comes to the Gallery. We hope you enjoy your time on our site and get the opportunity to come to Mentone and see the wonderful work for yourself.
